2. Data Stored Locally

All portfolio data — assets, transactions, platforms, snapshots, alerts, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device via IndexedDB. There is no server database. No user account is required.

3. External API Calls

Coffr makes read-only requests to the following services to retrieve market data:

CoinGecko API — cryptocurrency prices
Yahoo Finance via a Cloudflare Workers proxy — stock and ETF prices
ExchangeRate-API and Frankfurter — exchange rates

Only asset names and tickers are transmitted in these requests. No personal data is sent.

4. Cookies and Analytics

Coffr uses Google Analytics (GA4, ID: G-CRBSB7EDRB) and Google Ads (ID: AW-17014714654) for traffic measurement and advertising effectiveness.

These services are only loaded after explicit consent via the cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the app settings.

Google cookies used:

_ga, _ga_*, _gid — retention up to 2 years

5. Local Storage (localStorage)

localStorage is used to store your preferences (language, currency, theme) and your cookie consent choice. These are not cookies in the technical sense.

6. License Validation

Premium license activation sends your email address and a license key hash to a Cloudflare Worker for verification. No other personal data is transmitted.

7. Your Rights

Under the nFADP (Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, art. 25–29) and the GDPR (for EU residents), you have the following rights:

Right of access
Right to rectification
Right to erasure
Right to data portability
Right to object

Since your data is stored locally, you have full control over it. You can export your data (JSON/CSV) or delete it at any time from the app settings.

8. Data Retention

Local data is kept until you manually delete it or reset the app. Analytics data is retained per Google's retention policy.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated. The last modification date is shown at the top of this page. Significant changes will be notified in the app.
